APA 2020 Virtual

American Psychological Association
Role: lead designer

After months of conversations and research surrounding COVID-19, APA made the decision in early June to transition its 2020 annual summer convention to a fully virtual format. This marked the first time in the organization’s 129-year history that the event was planned and executed entirely online.

The project centered on a comprehensive design and marketing effort, including email campaigns, social and web content, as well as an extensive video and motion design initiative. It also involved directing virtual vendors in the development of event platforms to ensure a cohesive brand identity and an intuitive user experience. All deliverables were produced on an accelerated timeline, from mid-June through the start of the convention on August 6.
